Responsiveness and Accountability

During my three terms (9 years) as your Place 1 City Councilman –
from 2003 to 2012 – I made a commitment that I would be the most accessible
and most open and transparent City Councilmember that The Colony has ever
had. And, I believe
(and many that were in The Colony then have attested) that I met that
commitment. I knew with full
conviction that I worked for all of the residents
and taxpayers in The Colony. My phone
number and email were public information, as was my home address. I made sure that I responded as quick as I
possibly could to all questions, requests and concerns. To this day, even 9 years after I stepped
down from my Council seat, I still get phone calls, emails
and knocks on my front door with questions about our wonderful City. I am humbled that many still know that I
will serve them and will answer their questions as best as I can, or at least
be able to point them in the proper direction. I commit to you that as your Place 1 City Councilman I
will be as open and transparent as I ever have been, and that I know who I
work for, and will be accessible to you (in a timely manner) for all
questions, concerns, suggestions and discussions. Service to the residents,
taxpayers and businesses is why I am seeking to be elected to this position
again, and you can be absolutely assured that I will be there for you!! |
